The Nashville Predators management team had begun focusing on the marketing of the team by summer 2008. For this, they wanted to conduct a market research in the hockey market throughout North America to investigate the doability if an owner wanted to move the team.. They had to take into account both the profits and the success in the hockey ring. In order to achieve this, they required a full proof plan that included the location, suggestions on public relations events, pricing and customer needs. In addition to this, they predicted incomes, identified operational market challenges and investigated the effect of city location on other plans. It was only after this that the management was able to develop future plans.
