It was the mid-1990s when one of the world’s top most footwear company was submerged in a situation of disturbingly bad publicity. Despite of having a high-profile reputation for numerous years, Nike was now portrayed as an exploitative multinational that relied on an extremely low cost labor abroad. Nike completely abnegated the charges, innocently claiming that they had no control over the independent contractors and manufacturers. Regardless of their attempts the activists had no plan to retreat. With time Nike might realize that accepting the sensitivity of the matter would prove more helpful than completely dismissing it.
